Newtown Easy Transit, launching Fall 2025, provides curb-to-curb transportation for Newtown residents age 60+ and adults with disabilities.
How to Get Started
- Complete a Transportation Application at the Newtown Senior Center before reserving a ride.
- Rides must be scheduled at least 3 business days in advance.
- Reservations may be made up to one month ahead.

- $3 one-way
Out-of-Town Rides
- Southbury: $5 one-way
- Danbury: $10 one-way
- Other towns: Fare varies based on mileage

FONS Newtown Rides
For 55 Plus Seniors.
The Friends of Newtown Seniors (FONS) volunteer drivers are available to pick you up and take you to any ‘Newtown’ location you wish. To arrange a day out, please call 203-430-0633 three days in advance and a coordinator will return your call.
NOVEMBER 2024 – ANNOUNCING EXPANDED SERVICES
Volunteer drivers are now available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and/or 11:30 am until 2:30 pm for rides within Newtown.
