Newtown Easy Transit
The newly established (Fall 2025) Newtown Easy Transit program offers curb to curb transportation for residents 60+ and disabled adults:
- Complete a Transportation Application at the Newtown Senior Center before reserving a ride.
- Rides must be scheduled 3 business days in advance.
- Book rides up to one month ahead.
- In-Town Rides: $3 one-way
- Out-of-Town Rides:
- Southbury – $5 one-way
- Danbury – $10 one-way
- Other towns vary by mileage

FONS Newtown Rides
For 55 Plus Seniors.
The Friends of Newtown Seniors (FONS) volunteer drivers are available to pick you up and take you to any ‘Newtown’ location you wish. To arrange a day out, please call 203-430-0633 three days in advance and a coordinator will return your call.
NOVEMBER 2024 – ANNOUNCING EXPANDED SERVICES
Volunteer drivers are now available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and/or 11:30 am until 2:30 pm for rides within Newtown.
