C.H. Booth Library Big 47th Annual Book Sale

The 47th Annual Friends of the C.H. Booth Library Book Sale will be held at Reed Intermediate School in Newtown

Saturday, July 8, 10am to 5pm
Sunday, July 9, 10am to 5pm
Monday, July 10, 10am to pm
Tuesday, July 11, 10pm to 1 pm

Shoppers at the sale—the Friends’ primary fundraising vehicle to enrich the services of Newtown’s C.H. Booth Library—will find a huge, well-organized selection of low-priced, high-quality books, jigsaw puzzles, games, CDs, DVDs, and LPs. And Reed Intermediate, located at 3 Trades Lane, is a spacious, air-conditioned venue with plentiful parking. Knowledgeable volunteers will be on hand during sale hours to assist shoppers.

• The 2023 sale kicks off on Friday July 7 from 1 pm to 5 pm. The admission fee is $40 and attendance will be capped at 200. Tickets go on sale at the school at noon.
• On Saturday July 8, doors are open from 10 am to 5 pm. The admission fee for adults is $5.00; 18 and under enter free. Tickets go on sale that morning at 9 am.
• Prices on all items will be reduced by 25% on Sunday July 9. Sales hours are 10 am to 5 pm.
• Prices will be even lower on Monday July 10: 50% off list price, and sale hours will be extended from 10 am to 7 pm for the convenience of shoppers who want to stop in after work.
• Tuesday is “Free Day,” and the venue will be open from 10 am to 1 pm.

Temporary Donations Pause:
Please note that the Friends will be unable to accept any donated items from Monday, June 19 through Sunday, July 16. During this temporary pause, Friends’ volunteers will be busy offsite preparing for the book sale. Any items dropped off during that time will be discarded. On Monday July 17, the Friends will resume accepting your donations at the Donation Room at the C.H. Booth Library.
