Walk To Preserve 6 Commerce Road
6 Commerce Road is still being considered for economic development. This popular recreational treasure would be lost to hiking, dog walking and horseback riding. Development could threaten Deep Brook and water bodies downstream.
Directions: 6 Commerce Road is next to the Catherine Violet Hubbard Sanctuary. Take your first right off of Commerce Road – entrance is a dirt drive on the corner across from the Spectrum building. Follow signs for parking.
This family friendly event is sponsored by the Newtown Conservation Commission. The Catherine Violet Hubbard Sanctuary will offer tours, and members of Candlewood Valley Trout Unlimited will be participating.
